The warhammer world is amazing, and has a lot more depth than the 40k universe, as well as generally being a lot less grimdark.
Warhammer fantasy series#
The Gotrek and Felix series is incredibly funny and a great set of novels in general, great look at the Warhammer world, but i found the plot to get a little repetitive after the 13th book or however many there were.Īs has been mentioned, the Blackhearts series was probably my favourite, they are incredibly enjoyable and a bit darker than the Gotrek and Felix novels. Started on Everchosen, the story of Archaon (fantasy Abaddon) and its a little slow but very entertaining. I play night goblins and this book perfectly captured the existing fluff and models while adding a lot of new insights into the worlds deep under the mountains. I have just read Skarsnik, by Guy Haley, which was AMAZING. Of course, not everyone enjoys reading books on computers/readers, but the mediafire link in particular has a very comprehensive list of the available novella, which you can use to find the books you want to read.
Warhammer fantasy download#

Can download multiples at a time and the books are mostly <1MB so they take 5 minutes to download even at the slowest speeds. something like 450+ uploads, you will have to sift through and find the relevant books. mobi versions of almost every army book/rulebook/novel brought out by games workshop or black library. But all are pretty good reads I've found. Some of these are actually hard to find now, as Black Library doesn't seem to keep things in print very long. These are generally short stories that have bound into the larger omnibus and have an overarching theme throughout. Witch-Hunter - The Tales of Mathias Thullmann, Witch-Hunter as he traverses the Empire searching for signs of Corruptionīrunner - A Bounty Hunter who scours the old world and is known for always getting his man. Knight of Bretonnia - The Journey of a Bretonnian Knight as he goes from a Knight Errant to a Grail Knight.

Convicts are forced to do exceedingly dangerous tasks to maintain the safety of the Empire. The Blackhearts - The Dirty Dozen, but Warhammerized. Some more set-in present day Warhammer Titles, again the following are all Omnibuses (As I tend to read those more often) not based on/in present day Warhammer Fantasy universe) However they are all a bit more "Historical" (ie. (Malekith, The Shadow King, Prince Imrik)Īll three of those Omnibus' contain 3 books and give a fairly good starting point of the empires they refer to, and how it shapes the eventual Fantasy Realm. The Sundering: The Story of the split between Dark Elves and High Elves, told from the point of view of 3 key characters. The Rise of Nagash: Where we learn about the rise of Vampires and the Necromatic Arts. Basically covers the life and times of Sigmar Heldenhammer, (50years of Empire History) Sigmar: The Story of the beginnings of the Empire, how it rose from a bunch of disparate tribes, into the start of the strongest force in the old world. There are the 3 big omnibus books from the Time of Legends Series
